"The World Still Says No to War. " Leading figures of the US and global peace movements describe their organizing and mobilizing, outline what needs to be done, and explore future collaborations. Speakers include David Potorti (Peaceful Tomorrows), Leslie Cagan (United for Peace and Justice), Nancy Lessin (Military Families Speak Out), speakers from Yemen, Pakistan, Sweden, and many others. The Shea Gallery and the Court Street Gallery will be hosting a speaking event that night in the Community House, 3 Court Street, Uxbridge, beginning at 7pm. The evening will be hosted by Orlando Corona and will feature Peaceful Tomorrows speakers Catherine Allison, Derrill Bodley, Dan Jones, Andrea LeBlanc and Loretta Filipov, along with poet Tony Brown. Howard Fortner of the Uxbridge First Holiday Night Festival will present Peaceful Tomorrows with videotapes of Uxbridge's September 11th memorial services. Closing the speaking event will be a performance of WomanSpiritRising. Rep. Stonewalkers will travel to Providence this evening for a pot luck dinner at Beneficent Church, 300 Weybosset St., at 6pm. We will have musical entertainment from our friend Joyce Katzberg, and peace crane folding with Bruce Nichols, who will speak about the Peace Pilgrim. Also speaking is Prof. Neta Crawford an associate professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and associate professor (research) at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown; Eva Quigstorp, theologian, writer and co-founder of Women for Peace in Germany and Europe. Additionally, Catherine Allison, Derrill Bodley, Dan Jones, Andrea LeBlanc, Loretta Filipov (Peaceful Tomorrows) will speak.

"Make a Peace Connection" 7-10pm candlelight vigil around the Stonewalk memorial, south plaza of Union Square Park, Manhattan. We will have writing materials, and art supplies, available for composing messages to those around the world who have been affected by terrorism, violence and war. Join members of The Peace Boat from Japan in folding paper cranes. Peaceful Tomorrows also will host Library of Congress representatives in recording your personal impressions, three years after September 11th, during our Union Square Park vigil.
